Pongwe — low density, high intent
Pongwe sits on Zanzibar’s east coast, defined by tidal beaches, uninterrupted ocean views, and a legacy of discreet, owner-operated properties. The area has maintained its low-density character — a dynamic that is shifting with the arrival of international operators, including Four Seasons, currently under construction up the beach.
Seasons Lodge has operated on this site since 2010 and closes in February 2026 for comprehensive redevelopment. The project benefits from established site approvals, existing infrastructure, and a decade of operational understanding of this particular stretch of coastline.
